Michelle's run 3.30.14

20 minute run

Ran with Michael and Heath. (Michael pushed the jogger).

We also walked some after because Heath fell asleep. We also did some yard work/gardening today!

Mysti's Workout - March 29, 2014

Michael and I have started a Run for God small group. I'm trying to get back into it. It's hard because I am so out of the habit. The running isn't hard, it's getting into a routine again.

Mysti's Workout - March 22, 2014

I had planned to meet Courtney at 6:30 and run 8 miles, but after being awake with both Samuel and John from 4:30-6:00 that did not happen. Samuel and I slept from 6:00-7:00, ate breakfast and joined Courtney for the end of her 12 miles. 

Great run with jogging stroller! I feel like it was similar to running 8 miles solo.

Mysti's Workout - March 21, 2014

Distance: 3 miles
Pace: 9:37 minutes

I wasn't sure if I would get a run in today, but after falling off the wagon at Dunkin Donuts this morning I was a little more motivated. Sam was napping and John got up to eat lunch so I ran with the opportunity. Hehehe :)

Mysti's Workout - March 19, 2014

I decided to try out the speed interval training idea and used the 5k Runner app to prompt the intervals. Below is a picture  - during walking parts we (with Courtney) ran normal pace and during running parts we sprinted. 
It went great! I was definantly glad when the intervals were over! It was nice to change it up and hopefully burn a few extra calories. I read somewhere at sometime that speed training helped target belly fat. Rather it does or doesn't it gave me extra motivation.


Typical pace at 3 miles / weekdays = 10:30 pace. 
Pace Improved :)


PS - Plan to go to gym and focus on arms in about an hour :)

Mysti's Workouts - March 15th & 17th

Saturday = 6 mile run
Monday = 25 minute treadmill

Eating = Doing fairly well. Salads for lunch, more fruits for snacks, adding greens to dinner and limiting sweets. Nothing crazy and not everyday, but more days than not.

Mysti's Workout - March 14, 2014

4 mile run

Morning run for the first time since daylight savings. It was still very dark at 6:20am.
Another random note, news story last night was of a runner getting hit on the arm by a blow dart. It was even on same street I run on just a mile or two more north.

Mysti's Workout - March 10, 2014

Treadmill: 30 minutes

Sam and I made a trip to Aunt Cathy's and Grandparents' Farm last week - I decided I would leave the running shoes and jogging stroller behind. Enjoyed my break from reality while indulging in homemade fried pork chops and mashed potatoes.

Mysti's Workout - March 1, 2014

Distance: 10.5 miles

Very excited about progress today. My knee hurt about 3 different times and could feel it was tight throughout run but never to the point I felt any damage or bad pain. 


Eating: Much better for me
Lunches- 3 salads, 1 tuna w dill pickles and wheat crackers and peanut butter sandwich. Only 1 Donut :)
