I decided to try out the speed interval training idea and used the 5k Runner app to prompt the intervals. Below is a picture - during walking parts we (with Courtney) ran normal pace and during running parts we sprinted.
It went great! I was definantly glad when the intervals were over! It was nice to change it up and hopefully burn a few extra calories. I read somewhere at sometime that speed training helped target belly fat. Rather it does or doesn't it gave me extra motivation.
Typical pace at 3 miles / weekdays = 10:30 pace.

PS - Plan to go to gym and focus on arms in about an hour :)
